Half of us have the genetic variant MTHFR, impairing the body's ability to methylate B vitamins.
Addiction, depression, anxiety, irritability, insomnia, fatigue, muscle pain, bi-polar, ADHD, migraines, inflammation, schizophrenia, OCD, low pain tolerance, heavy menstrual bleeding, red face after exercise, autoimmune and thyroid disorders, irritable bowel syndrome, miscarriages, diabetes, chronic pain, and MANY other troubles stem from this.
I have a hunch that both my family lines carried this as certain mental, emotional, and physical illnesses were apparent, that I have always had it, and that I have passed it to my children.
Needing help for more than 20 years, I have tried a zillion things which have not worked. Pharmakeia-trained medical professional bloodwork lab results never shone light on any of this.
Thanks to following the HS, and getting bloodwork by Dr Axe's team (which I've been sharing about here and elsewhere), I'm on day six of taking methylated B Vitamin supplements, and am just beginning to feel a bit better. Will continue to track progress.
I also learned those who don't have proper [thing-a-majiggies] in their lower intestines can't absorb even the methylated B vitamins, and so can benefit from an under-the-tongue lozenge/tablet to bypass digestion. I ordered those yesterday in case we need that added support.
I plan to track results here in our family, and then shout it out to the world.
Stay tuned.
