A Woman's Voice

What does the term Elder even mean?

Does God want women to speak up and preach the gospel and make disciples?

Why is there so little power in some places within the church today?

Some of these topics are shared in this podcast series from Pastor John B. and his wife Lisa.

Click the blue arrow below to hear part 1.

Part 2.

Part 3

If you're a woman I would love to hear what you think!  Do you have a calling on your life and you're waiting to release God's words to others?  PLEASE share!

A Caution for Fathers

You might know I'm jammed full with a lot of exuberance for God's life.  You may also know I had the stuffing kicked out of me for some decades and so sometimes the exuberance comes out sounding a bit unintelligible.  I am also fierce and so when all that is combined, well ya might feel like you're getting a blast of raw me.  As the weeks and months pass, I hope I get better at communicating from my perspective as I walk out His principles in my simple life.

As I hinted at before, sometimes I do a lot of spluttering in order to say what I mean.  Other times my innards know something my soul dumbly struggles to express.  As I continue to feel called to share from within, I REALLY appreciate you taking the time to listen, read (etc) while I go through the processes of expressing with more and more excellence.

In these two podcasts I natter out a few cautions for anyone who is in the role of fathering someone else.  I think the principles pertain to men who are actively fathering their biological children and I think they also apply to those whom God wants to use to father His spiritual children.  There are relational principles to keep in mind.

There are also men who are not biological fathers who are needed to father spiritual children as well as women who are called to as well (as strange as that might sound).  I don't claim to know much at all!  I am merely fascinated by this whole thing.

Here is part one.

Here is part two.

Please consider leaving your thoughts, feelings and feedback below.  I would love to have group chat about this...as it's near and dear to my heart, mind and life and I believe it has everything to do with discipling the nations!

Edited to add:  When Papa says SAY IT then we must.  The caution I recorded today is not for those situations.  :)

Supporting a Great Ministry

Life Model Works is accepting end of the year donations which are tax deductible through Shepherd's House ministry.
One donor has offered to match up to $15,000 so any amount you contribute before the end of the year will be doubled.
Learning what it means to do fellowship and to mature in Christ are two of the many things I appreciate about this ministry.  I am happy to be a part of their donors team and am elated to see them expanding their work and looking forward to much more in 2019.

Free Online Video Course from Deeper Walker International

Are you interested in learning more about discipleship?

I remember during my stint in bible college, when we looked at the way Jesus interacted with those around Him.  It completely changed my paradigm about discipleship and ruined what I had been taught for years.

Now, Deeper Walk International is hosting a free course explaining the foundations of heart-based discipleship.  It looks GREAT and I hope to dive in soon.

Please feel free to enjoy the 8 video lessons, download the PDF workbook or purchase the course DVD.

Blessings as you continue on your journey!

Shall We Prosper???

It's not MONEY that is the root of all evil...not at all.  It's something other than money...

I used to be ashamed to make money.  Thank goodness my life coach Mic helped me get to the root of that last month.  It was a pretty delicate ordeal and she handled it beautifully. My friend Ann was the one who listened and helped me see there was something dark lurking in my reality because of some stuff that wasn't a part of my design.  BIG DEAL there.  If you ever want help getting to the root of a problem, Mic is a great help.  I'll share a link to her website at the bottom of this post.

After that junk was dragged into the light and dealt with, I began to feel SO much more free.  Having long listened to a very practical money guy and loving to hear, learn and apply his principles, I began to be more open to learning and filling in the gaps visible not that new light was shining.

Somehow in the past week Brent and I stumbled onto Rabbi Daniel Lapin and BOY are we glad we did! I'll share more stories later of what's benefitted me/us of his stuff.  Today I wanna share a bit about his insight from biblical principles many of us are completely unaware of.

As usual, I have not the moxie to share with you what he says as no one can speak for him better than he....so I share below three of the many videos of his I'm devouring this week, as well as links to stuff I mention in the audio for my Patrons.

OH!!!  If you'd like to support the work and art I do, take a look at my Patreon page and see what you think. For as little as a dollar a month you can get behind the scenes updates on what life is like while I put together this blog & website, coach, train kids, deal with my own stuff, build a good marriage and try to keep the house from falling into abysmally dirty despair.

Hope you enjoy these videos!
Blessed week to you!

Feelings In The Next Generation

Inspired by the Coursey's videos showing them attuning to, connecting with and empowering their children to feel their own feelings, I continue to work with my own self (and places within that needed to be seen and felt and comforted and empowered) and my children, I confess it's been so wild around here!

Recently as our daughter becomes a young lady and learns how to feel (and not bury, hide from or distract from) her very God-given emotions, I experienced such a tumult while walking along side her.

In this podcast, you'll hear my raw experience as I work with her as she begins to feel her own feelings, too.  I think she's beginning to feel proper soul shame for the first time (the cure for narcissism) as well as hopeless despair.

While I throw a lot of info out there, I admit there's a whole lot I failed to mention like my own fears, hopeless despair (etc) being aroused as I went through the process with her.

I hope you enjoy this 13:07 minute audio clip.  Blessings!

Teamwork: How To????

I am always searching for principles ...even while I follow my inner nudges to peek around on Facebook!!!

To back up, the other day I felt nudged to look at some books in order to help me understand new ideas for ways I can sow into my marriage.  I found this in audible and listened to the sample clip and was eager to learn more.

Click the image below to listen to a free audio sample of Jimmy Evan's book (he's got great stuff on marriage!!!  Check out a variety of his books here!)

I told hubby (using my new wonderful empowered wife skills) that I would LOVE to know his opinion...and before I knew it he does what he does and off we went into a new adventure learning about our strengths.

In addition to all this, I'm so thankful for the dialogue today with a person who invested his life in helping others grow to be better people.  He works with children in a camp setting in South Africa and I have admired his choice to pour into those kids as well as bless his family.  He shared with me some tips about leadership which I will ponder more later.  I wanted to record them here for you in case it helps you, too.  He gave me permission to share.

Here's his initial comment:

The challenge of explaining teamwork to groups on camp.... ( I have this same conversation on almost a daily basis)
Me " What do you think you could learn from the activity you have just completed?"
Group: "Teamwork!"
Me :" Teamwork is a very broad subject. What aspect of teamwork do you think you needed to do the activity properly?"
Group " Working together"
Me." Yes, that is team work but what specific things did you do to enable you to work together better?"
Group "Teamwork!"
And that's how the cycle of conversation goes until I start mentioning the specifics.....
😳🤔🤣
It's clear many are taught to just give clinical answers and not taught understanding   ]

I admitted I was clueless too and asked for his help.  He was honest and said he struggled too...then he came up with these gems:

"The keys for me are :
1) We need each other. No one can do it on their own.
2) We are all valuable and need to be treated as such
3) We all have our weaknesses. Protect the weak because one day it will be your turn to be weak.
4) Trust and proper communication are vital.
5) Serve and build others up rather than dictate.

And from a Christian perspective - Love, mercy and forgiveness go a long way

And let each person lead from their unique skills or abilities.

I often use a five finger contract.
I hold my open hand up and ask the kids what does each finger represent to them and then explain it like this :

The thumb (thumbs up) represents encouragement ( well done, you can do it, you're amazing. Etc)
The index finger is used for pointing. It represents judgement. I'm judging others when I point my finger. ( I'm right, you're wrong. Or pointing out the faults of others to make them look bad and me better) Don't judge others. Judge yourself (plank in your own eye).
The middle finger.... That's rude. Watch how we speak to each other. Control our tongue. Use it to bless not curse.
The ring finger - it represents marriage and commitment. It's a decision not to quit. To persevere and always give my best for the sake of others and myself.
Lastly the little finger - it represents the weak things in our lives. If we cut it off our hand is weaker with it missing and looks funny. We are all weak at certain things and strong at others. My strength is someone's weakness and vice versa. If we protect the weak and treat them as the most important it contributes to the team not weakens it.

Then I make a fist and say - when all my fingers work together their combined strength makes power. By themselves each finger can be broken. As a fist it's very difficult to break.
Work together and your are a fist.

Lastly I get them to agree to a ' contract' of how they will treat each other based on each finger. Start simple and build on it.
When things fall apart then I say to the people concerned - remember your agreement? Stop being a middle finger or I raise my the appropriate finger ( other than the middle one ðŸ¤£) and cough to get their attention.

They get it quickly enough"

Thanks, AC!

What is your experience with teamwork and such things?  Marriage, family life, business, ministry...how does teamwork look in your world?  What are you doing to build your strengths???  Please comment below!  We'd love to hear from you!

Be blessed!

A Break from Pushing Through

Sometimes it can be really discouraging to feel like we're not living what we've been put here to do.  When what's inside of us isn't really coming out very well it can be angry making, embarrassing, humiliating and frustrating.  Sometimes hopeless despair offers solace...and yet still KNOWING there's much within that is designed to come OUT but is stuck can be demoralizing.  Ask me how I know.

While we're trouble shooting along on that adventure process, sometimes it's nice to take a fun and refreshing break.  That's what I did when I took this free online test.  It was interesting and thought provoking.  When I got the results back I was STUNNED with the accuracy.

Somehow, after years of not knowing who I was, it was put into words for me.  I felt assured, seen, understood and validated.  To be honest?  My innards erupted with THAT'S ME!! THAT'S ME!!!!

So far it's been pretty powerful and spot on for some other people I've shared it with too.  Would you like to try it?  It can be good to get the positive juices flowing when we're feeling a bit down about where we are (and aren't) in life.

You can click this link to see the test and decide if you'd like to take it.  Once you finish, I would SO love to hear what type you are!!!  Would you please share by commenting below???

To Manage or To Lead? That's the Question!

I know a guy who is dealing with management as well as leadership.  What are the principles?  Are they the same?  How do they differ?

I asked a few people and got some helpful responses.

Here's one from an article called Leadership and Management by Steven R. Covey

Entrepreneurship...A Calling Emerges

Are you an entrepreneur?

Have you the heart to build God's kingdom in your lifetime?  Do you want the lines between business, church, family, God and yourself all fade away making everything you do BE Kingdom driven?  ME TOO!!!

I think the greatest challenge for entrepreneurs is focusing inwardly on what burns within each of us in order to express things which will build God's kingdom.

Why is that hard?  Well it's not...but it's quite a process to get the thing from the realm within us to the world beyond our mind, will, emotions and body.

Ideally, an entrepreneur is one who STARTS new things.  I remember Dr. Ben Carson mentioning that small business and entrepreneurs are the driving engine of our economic structure.  Imagine entrepreneurs free to release into our world the stunning, new, innovative things which will help God's Kingdom expand!

I am working on a special segment of our site here in order to offer materials, resources, tips, encouragement, stories as well as hopefully a community where we can share ideas.

In the mean time to help assuage my massive entrepreneurial energy I signed up for the free e-course over at Kingdom Driven Entrepreneur.  I'm on session three and so far it is AWESOME!!!  It's giving me language for what's already been happening in my world.  Check it out if you think it might be your thing too!!!

Entrepreneurs & Small Business

Have you got something you long to share with the world but aren't sure how?

I KNOW THE FEELING!

With an enormous amount of entrepreneurial energy and not a whole lot of competitive spirit (unless I know for sure I can win), I have spent much of my life looking for ways to get out there and do something with all this locked-up passion which burns and wriggles within me.

Isn't it easy?

Well that depends.  For some, they seem to hit the ground running, get into the groove and keep going until they keel over.  Money, success and prosperity are always within their reach as they believe they will have it and work hard for it.

Then there are some of us...who grew up with an impoverished spirit in more ways than one.  Our wiring is still to do great things that will impact society for the future in really great ways, but we can't get off the couch, out of the ditch our get beyond our day job to get a feel for what it is like to actually BENEFIT others on a big scale.

For some reason, I hold myself back constantly, terrified I will over commit myself and then let people down.  To help combat this and learn a bit in the hopes of maturing, I decided to spend some time focusing on growing ME first...before I grow my company or set out to equip employees for their careers.  I love helping people reach their goals; I just needed to figure out what mine are first!

I know of a company motto that's to help people reach their goals.  I love it!  I can think of all sorts of goals I have- large and small- that I want to reach.  I can also think of others who have goals and I itch to see those become a reality, too.

I have this word picture of entrepreneurs being a bit like visionaries...who can see things which don't yet exist and then partner with their own inner strength, tap into the flow and then release it outwardly to a waiting world.

If you can relate to this idea, you might like this series as I explore ideas, share failure stories and resources which have helped others get a bit of a handle on their own inner flow.  Stay tuned!!!

Mrs F and Me

Mrs F. and I spend a lot of time together gabbing about real, wild life.  We've got some ideas we're working on, too.

First, we have an idea for a story...a way to incorporate my experience with AHS into an interesting tale of two women.  We have a basic idea of how we'll go about it.  We will each develop a heroine and interweave their stories in a clever way.  Last week I was thrilled when she brought me the beginning of her portion and introduced me to her character, Manda.  I felt so drawn in as I read aloud her paragraphs as daughter listened.  Would you like to meet Manda, too?   Mrs F. gave me permission to share.  Check it out here.

We have also decided to begin recording podcasts as we gab about real, wild life as women.  We are very excited to share with you what we come up with.

I have finally purchased the equipment in order to be able to record personal conversations as well as phone chats.   The recorder works great and we hope to try out the phone device this week or next.

A photo shoot is in on our schedule as well, so we can get the podcast album cover designed so it's ready for our nattering musings.  :)

We have recorded several audio blurbs which now need to go through the importing, editing, export and publication process.

Yesterday we spent a good while discussing being wives and our struggles to stop being controlling and emasculating our very wonderful men.  *sigh*    I am grateful to be able to record these honest chats which we think are probably pretty needed within God's family.

Another exciting development is Mrs F's embracing of her many artistic gifts! She has an idea for creating dresses based on flowers!!!  She has incredible knowledge of them as well as herbs and how to use them for medicinal health purposes.  I hope she'll let me build a website for her so she can share her wealth of knowledge with others.

In the mean time, when she showed me her photo of her Comfrey flower and how it looks like a summer dress, I was thrilled.  I could see it!!!  I showed our two older children and they saw it right away too.  Even hubby encouraged me to prod her to get a dress made.

She has sketched the idea and shared it with me yesterday.

I think it will make a great DYT Type 1 dress as it is; with a few adjustments so it will move a bit differently I think it will work great for Type 3 women like me!

What do YOU think???

Voting locations, land, staff, ballots, machines, etc*

on whatever He wants to shine it on for as long as He wants until He's done.

I took this straight from theslg.com, prayed it over myself starting about six years ago and have been praying it near daily for those in my circles since.

*Save and protect from evil those mentioned above who fear Him.

*Terrify those above who defy Him.

*just added this recently

"First of all, then, I urge that petitions (specific requests), prayers, intercessions (prayers for others) and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all people, for kings and all who are in [positions of] high authority, so that we may live a peaceful and quiet life in all godliness and dignity." 1 Timothy 2:1-2 AMP

Kombucha Tea ~Drink to Thanks

This post may contain affiliate links.

Part of CONTENTMENT for me has been learning how to tune OUT the hustle and bustle of society and tune IN to simple, wholesome things....like giving thanks and enjoying old time things.

While I still enjoy many modern amenities and am grateful to be alive during a time when there's so much benefit from the industrial and technological revolutions,  I prefer to keep walking more and more toward a more old fashioned way of living in some areas of my life.

Food is one of the main ways I have started a new path.  I confess I find it incredibly rewarding to learn new things.  Shifting from a certain way of eating to another has been one of the greatest challenges I've ever faced (and that's saying something).  I'll write more about our food journey later.

This Thanksgiving,  we'll be enjoying oodles of an old fashioned fermented drink called KOMBUCHA.  I'm crazy about cultured foods.  Ferments is what we call them in our home.  Recently, I brewed 6 gallons to be ready for our four-day holiday for the end of next month.  With eight of us we'll drink every drop.   We're getting so excited for the time to be together!!!!

Kombucha is very inexpensive to make and the health benefits are reportedly fantastic.  Frankly, the taste is terrifically yummy even though it smells a bit like vinegar.  You can google and find all sorts of methods, techniques, tools, tips and ingredients.   We think it tastes very much better than soda pop.

Since we're obsessed with simple and practical in order to keep the line of contentment-and-thanks in the right place (and since we have a huge family full of youngsters), our favorite video for making Kombucha is from a gal named Emmy.

Below is her simple, fantastic youtube post.  She gives a bit of background and then goes over the ingredients and steps. Take a look!

Below, I've included what you need if you'd like to try making your own.  I assume you have sugar on hand, so I've included a few items we needed to gather which were not in our cupboards when we first started making our own Kombucha.   Once you're ready, you can have delicious Kombucha ready for any special occasion or for everyday use.

It takes 7-14 days depending on the temperature.  You've still got time to brew some to be ready for your Thanksgiving celebrations in a few weeks!  I recommending watching Emmy's video (above) all the way through in order to accurately assess what to do next.

What we did:

We started with GT's (at Emmy's suggestion) and bought it from our local health food store.

Some areas don't carry these items locally, though as Kombucha gets more popular it will likely become easier to find.  The main ingredient is called a S.C.O.B.Y which stands for symbiotic colony of bacteria and yeast.  It's something you'll need to buy online or find a friend who will give you one!  It's slimy and looks weird but does the job. You'll still need some Kombucha liquid if you use Kimmy's method.

TEA:

Here's a fast and easy way to get a SCOBY if you don't have a friend nearby who's brewing.  Anyone who brews has more than enough and is probably happy to share!  If you can't find anyone who will share, you have a few options.  First, you can but the SCOBY ready to go.

Or, if you'd rather get a kit, you might like this which contains everything you need to get started.

Or if you like Emmy's idea like we did, start with a few bottles of GT's, which we found in our local health food store.  Amazon will ship you a case of twelve 16 oz bottles if you can't find it in your local area:

Next, you'll need tea.  I prefer organic.  From what we've researched and tried, black tea is THE best; but green works, too.  I've tried Oolong, Rooibos, Ginger, Earl Grey and English breakfast.  All are yummy.  Your SCOBY will be altered if you use a flavored tea, so keep that in mind.  You can brew a second time adding flavor, or use Emmy's method of adding the flavor into the bottles once you've finished your 7-14 day brew.

Organic sugar is another important component.  The yeast in the SCOBY eats it and transforms it into a wonderful elixir of yumminess which is oh-so good for you.  Organic sugar is pretty readily available these days in most grocery stores.  Here is some in case you'd like it delivered right to your door.  There are also many other brands and quantities you can select.

 STORAGE:

These jars with lids are my favorite for brewing the tea and holding the SCOBY's for the next batches.  It's important to use non reactive containers.  I think they look great in the kitchen, too. Over the years at times we have ours completely full of SCOBY's and our guys call it the SCOBY Hotel.  Each time you brew a batch you get a second SCOBY, which is sometimes called a baby.  You can remove it from the original (often referred to as the Mother) and give it away or begin additional batches.

This is a GREAT way to store your finished product in the fridge after it's brewed.  It keeps it chilled and the spigot makes it so even our children can easily serve themselves.  I especially like the glass container made in the U.S.A. and the large size works great for our huge family.  Remember, it's best to use non reactive containers for fermented/cultured foods.

For smaller quantities, you might like this:

Enjoy your Kombucha!  May your brewing going well and your time with special people be blessed.

UPDATE:
As far as we understand, KOMBUCHA is THM approved.

Here are some additional steps to make large family batches.  We hope you enjoy!
by Kate & Luke Mazur
November 2, 2016

TWELVE  STEPS  TO  MAKING  ONE  GALLON  OF  KOMBUCH  TEA

Luke recommends reading this through all the way before you start.  We use Emmy's concept and have adapted it to work for our big family.

1)  Sterilize a one gallon jar.  We use old GFS green olive jars, which work great to make large batches for our big, thirsty family.

2)  Fill the jar 1/4 of the way with boiled water.  We have our own well and can use our own water to our hearts' content.  It is NOT advised to use treated water as it will ruin your SCOBY.   We suggest using filtered water if your tap water is treated.

3) To the hot water,  add 6-8 tea bags.

For a lighter Kombucha, we use Green tea, etc.

For a darker tea, we use black, Oolong, etc.

4) Steep for 5 minutes and then remove tea bags using non reactive utensil.   Discard tea bags.

5) Add 1 cup of sugar while the water is still hot.  Swirl water in jar carefully just long enough to dissolve sugar.

6)  Add cold water making sure to leave enough room to add the SCOBY and 1 cup of brewed kombucha (previous batch)

It's important the SCOBY not get too hot or too cold.  Remember, it's a harmonious colony of bacteria and yeast and therefore temperature is important.  Don't add ice until it's has finished brewing and the SCOBY is out!

Also if you want to flavor your tea make sure too wait until it has finished brewing and you have removed the SCOBY, or else it will become a favored SCOBY

7)  Add SCOBY and 1 cup of Kombucha from previous batch.

If this is your first batch, pour the GT's right in.  A SCOBY will form on its own from the culture which lives within GT's.

8)  Cover the jar with cheese cloth or a coffee filter and secure well with a rubber band.  While it needs to breath because it's a living organism, it's important not to allow any gaps.

Warning:  Fruit flies LOVE to find their way in, lay their eggs and hatch a little family on the SCOBY.  This makes for undrinkable tea.  They can really be a problem.  We have mourned many a batch because of them.

9)  Place the jar in a good spot.  We put our jars on top of our fridge and allow them to sit at room temperate for 7 -14 days.

We like waiting two weeks because then the flavor is DELICIOUS.

If it goes too long it sours and then we like to use it for vinegar.

10)  After 7-14 days at room temperature, your Kombucha Tea is ready.  Remove the SCOBY and 1 cup of liquid and place in a separate glass jar until you're ready to brew your next batch.  We keep ours on the fridge in what we affectionately call our SCOBY Motel.   As you continue to brew, your SCOBY's will multiply.  Separate the layers and use one layer per batch.  They reproduce quickly!  Some like to share their extra SCOBY's with friends.

11)  Store tea.  We can hardly get enough made to put in cold storage, but it is a good idea to put the Kombucha tea, once brewed and SCOBY is removed, into the fridge or other cold place.  This keeps the flavor just as it was and it gets better and better as it stays chilled.

You can pour it into small bottles if you like.  We often pour it into empty, used milk jugs because we drink it so very fast.  Purists will say only use glass and we agree but we gulp it down faster than Luke can make it.

12)  Taste and enjoy!

For one half gallon follow the same method but cut the ingredients in half.

Please come back and let us know in the comments below how yours turned out.

Prayers for Change Part One

The Nitty Gritty

There is a very effective little prayer tool which I have seen cause results in my own life and those of others who have focused.

After spending a half decade testing out this man's theory, I am convinced much of what is offered as prayer in the world of christiandom is actually witchcraft.  To put a fast halt on that in my own life, I began praying, "God bind the enemy in and around me and shine Your light on whatever You want to shine it on and hold Your light there for as long as You want to until You're done."  WOW.  Talk about a catalyzing agent.

I was encouraged through SLG to pray this every day for a month, with a warning to tighten my seat belt as stuff might get crazy.  IT SURE DID.

Wisely, they stress the importance of praying this for others once the dust settles in our own world.

If you're not familiar with the concept, you might like this 10 minute video clip, "Entrance for the Mesmerizing Spirit" from SLG.

It is very effective.  I believe the enemy of God is a wordsmith in his own right and is able to do much with the prayers which do not match the heart and mind and will of God.  Being able to adjust ourselves so we can prepare to see and know what God wants is something worth all the investment in the world.

To learn more, there is an exceptionally excellent album available free for immediate download called, "Life, Dominion and Honor."   It does a great job of laying out the sequence of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and the work they each do.

As I have sought to see change in my nation, I believe having authority over this in our own lives allows us to begin to tackle it in our families, neighborhoods, townships, counties, states and national governments as well.  Standing in the gap takes on an entirely new meaning.  Once we've gotten a handle on this in our own lives we can stand in the gap wherever our God-given circles of influence take us.

Have you worked on this in your own life?  I am so eager to hear your successes!

Who Are You? Part 1

Discovering God-placed treasures within us is one of my favorite life studies.  Whether old or new to the topic, there is a lot to discuss within the Body of Christ.

First off, some of my favorite sparkly bits come from an off the beaten path group of folks roughly associated with SLG.  Their album, The Redemptive Gifts of Individuals, has sparked quite a glimmer of hope in the hearts and minds of many who have been trying to understand who they are within the Body and how they were created to fit.

Those conversations are happening in greater abundance around the world now that more people have access to the information.

The Redemptive Gifts of Individuals is a great place to start if you're wanting to step in slowly.

If you like audio blurbs, you might like to start here with a free Introduction.

There are also youtube video's available.

Once you've gotten your juices flowing there, I recommend NOT stopping there as there are more vital components.

Often times people are unable to make traction in their lives until they understand the principles associated with their gift.  While listening to the Seven Principles, my blind spots were abruptly pointed out!!!  Since I felt like I had hard core road rash, I spent a long time letting the Holy Spirit help me get a grasp on what pitfalls are commonly associated with my gift.  Ouch it hurt, yet over time I have appreciated SO MUCH feeling like I have lines painted on the sides of the road as I go now.  I know where the ditches are and can often avoid them.  Letting those who care about me know what they are is helpful too, and the language I have now, thanks to SLG, is priceless.

I remember someone once said the devil doesn't care which side of the ditch you're in as long as you're in the ditch.  Even several years later, the Seven Princples still helps keep me going along on the road of my life's' journey.   It's free to listen to now and might just help you gain traction if you're feeling stuck.

Still want more??

Here's a probing thought for you.

"Why do you care about the redemptive gifts? Most people want to know how they work for personal benefit. Imagine what you would see if you studied the gifts to serve the King."

"The true beauty of the redemptive gifts is only seen in the context of their interaction. And no one can weave them together like the King!"

Blessings on your journey as you appreciate more and more the One who made you and as you experience His liberty to be your unique and wonderful self.
